Brunswick Georgia Children’s Portrait Photographer | Meet the B kids
The mother of these boys contacted me about doing this suprise session for Father’s Day. She had specific ideas about what she wanted, and the props she wanted to use….dad’s old football helmet and jersey. I was super excited…I love when a client has amazing props that also have a lot of personal meaning. That’s totally my thing! So we met in this wonderful new field I’ve been using (with the owner’s permission, of course) and started the session…oops….I mean started playing! The boys were great. One was all boy and running and jumping around everywhere, and the other was a little more quiet, just taking it all in. But they totally complement each other! We did some posed shots, but my favorites are the ones that weren’t so posed. This was more like a lifestyle session. I LOVE to capture children as they are in their element, doing their own thing. Not saying I didn’t have to bribe them a time or two to get some specific shots lol. In fact, one of the bribes was the most fun bribe I’ve ever done! I promised to help the big brother find a grasshopper if he would let me get a shot of him wearing his dad’s jersey and sitting on the helmet. And I totally delivered!!! We found an awesome big green grasshopper….caught it…..let the big brother hold it while the little brother looked at it also….then let him go. Was it worth it? Totally! Thank you again Ashlei for contacting me and letting me play with your boys for a morning. I had a wonderful time and willl have to take my children back to that field to go grasshopper hunting also!
And I must also admit that I’m a bad photographer; I was having so much fun helping the older brother with the grasshopper that I didn’t even think to take a shot of the grasshopper or him with the grasshopper. We were having way too much fun inspecting our newly caught grasshopper!!!

Brunswick Georgia Maternity Photographer / Meet the M Family
I met up with this gorgeous couple on a beautiful sunny evening in a field in Brunswick for their maternity session. They are expecting their first addition to their family in July. I was super excited to be invited into this wonderful time in their lives. We did a variety of shots – some with just the mama-to-be, and some with the two of them together. She was absolutely glowing and the lighting was simply amazing….put that together and we got some incredible backlit images (I’m a HUGE fan of backlighting and sunflare; but you already knew that, didn’t you!) showcasing her beautiful round belly with a little baby growing inside. They both have the most amazing hazel-colored eyes! Depending on the direction I had them turned, and the color of the clothing, both their eyes would change from a greenish tint to blue. I cannot wait to meet their soon-to-arrive baby girl and do her newborn photography session….I wonder what color her eyes will be? Here are some of my favorites from their session.
This one has just the most amazing backlighting going on. I LOVE how the halo of light just surrounds her!
Another beautiful backlighting image….can you tell I really love backlighting?
A shot that show’s off the couple’s amazing eyes. I told you, didn’t I? Can’t wait to see how Baby A’s eyes turn out!

Brunswick & St. Simons Island Georgia Newborn Baby Photographer | Meet Noah
Noah’s mother was referred to me by a previous newborn client of mine. He was very easy to work with, and his parents and grandmother were wonderful also
This newborn baby boy had the blondest hair of any newborn baby I’ve photographed so far! He slept like a dream, and was super calm when he was awake….just looking around and taking it all in. I think he’s going to be very wise when he grows up! We did most of his session in the studio, but also ventured out to Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island, Georgia; a first for me. Unfortunately it had rained so hard the night before that the sand was more like mud. So we didn’t get those nice fluffy sandy images I had pictured in my head; but we did get some amazing shots in nature anyway. We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place. We custom designed his newborn session around his parent’s ideas and got some wonderful images. I think I *may* have made it pretty darn hard for mom and dad to pick their images….there were around 50+ to choose from. He did just so great! Here are just some that I am able to share with you!
I warned you that there were a lot, right! It was just so hard to narrow it down for their proofing gallery. Honestly one of the best sessions to date. I LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing my newborn clients and their families! And when I get a referral from a previous client, it makes me literally just glow! That is the absolute biggest compliment I can receive from someone. Their repeat business, but also their faith in my and love of my work enough that they will refer their friends and loved ones to me as well. Thank you so much for this referral Angie! You totally rock!

Jekyll Island Beach Family Maternity Session
This was the “A” family’s first ever custom photography session. It was an honor to be chosen to be their photographer for this experience! When we met for her pre-session consultation, Courtney was very specific with what she had in mind. Beach, family, children, fingerpaint. Yes fingerpaint! I was super excited to do this session, and it went wonderfully. The kids were very excited and super to work with. We were worried about the weather, but it held out just long enough for some beautiful lighting for the beach session. We did all the shots Courtney wanted and then some; then we pulled out the paints and let the kids go to town painting her beautiful belly. Here’s some of my favorites:
I can’t wait to meet little Miss C when she comes to see me for her newborn session. I have so many cute new things I’ve been dying to use for a newborn baby girl!

Brunswick Georgia Family Photographer | Meet the V Family
This familyhas booked two sessions with me and came all the way to Brunswick from Waycross Georgia for their family (mommy & me) session. After the initial consultation, I was SO excited! Oh, the ideas we came up with! We decided early on we would attempt to get a hot air balloon type shot, along with some backlighting shots. Mom was also interested in some lifestyle type images as well, instead of formally posed shots. This was right up my alley, and totally my fave way to do a session.
We met in my favorite field shortly on a wonderfully sunny afternoon. Perfect for backlighting! Little Ronnie was full of smiles right out of the car. He was so much fun to work with and he adored my hot-air balloon! He rocked back and forth, back and forth, and was laughing the whole time. I was able to use my wide-angle lens for some super fun shots of him in the basket. Then there were some amazing shots of him with his mom and grandmother. Oh what fun, they played, blew bubbles and sang to him. And he just ate it up and smiled like nobody’s business! As the sun was setting, I got some amazing shots of him on a blanket with his books. I tell you, I had NO EDITING to do on these last shots. They came out of the camera singing, lol. Here are just some of the shots we got during the first session. He is also scheduled for this summer for his one year old cake smash session. I absolutely cannot wait! He will be super fun to work with again, I’m sure!
This shot is honestly straight out of the camera. Can you believe it!! The only thing I did here for editing was to size and sharpen it for the web. This is a combination of using an “L” lens (my new 70-200….I seriously am in love with this lens!!), shooting at the proper time of day, and getting low to take the shot. Super yummy lighting, and quite possibly my favorite image ever.
This was the result of a collaboration with my husband and some input from a fellow photographer friend and a local business owner. I couldn’t be more happy with how it came out!
Oh yeah! Who’s having fun??? He is!!!

Brunswick Georgia One-Year-Old Cake Smash Session / Miss M
A benefit of being a baby and children’s photographer is celebrating my client’s one year birthday. Adorable Miss M. has the pleasure of being my first studio cake smash session participant….or should I say I had the pleasure of Miss M. being my first cake smash session participant?? I think it went a little of both ways
What a wonderful way to celebrate this baby’s first year! Her amazing cake was made by her mother and it was beautiful. Miss M agreed. She needed a little coaxing at first, but then she tore right into it. She was an absolute delight to photograph as she worked her way through the cake. Once she decided she was done though, that was IT! She took that bow from her hair, turned around and crawled right off!
Here are just a few of the images from her session, followed by her custom cake smash collage.
And here she had just about had enough….
Yep….cake smash session is….DONE!
Here is the custom cake smash collage that I designed for MacKenzie. Each cake smash session comes with your own custom designed collage, made to fit your baby’s room decor, match their outfit, or just in your favorite colors. The possibilities are endless!

Brunswick Georgia Children’s Photographer | Meet the N Family
I first met this family when I did Miss K’s newborn session. Hers was the first newborn session where mom and dad and even her big brother took part in the images as well, for some family images. I got some really amazing images from that session, and her big brother was SUCH a great helper and so cute! So I was completely excited when mom called me and booked two more sessions….a sibling session and a cake smash session. This session took place in one of my favorite fields to shoot in in Brunswick. The lighting was amazing, the kids were having a blast, especially big brother! Dad even jumped in on a couple shots. I cannot wait until this summer when we do Miss K’s one year cake smash session…it’s going to be super cute.
This was Shaun’s “gangster face” to go along with his gangster hat!
Just look at her hair would you!! I love how it’s just flying up on both sides…too cute!

Brunswick Georgia Baby Photographer | Meet Miss M. (3 months old)
Little Miss M. is a repeat customer. I did her newborn session what seems like just a few weeks ago, and now she’s already 3 months old!! My does time fly. Miss M’s session was done in the comfort of her own home with my portable studio. She can be quite the smiler, no doubt about it. She has the most amazing eyes that seem to change color based on the colors around her….I just love how they photograph. Both her parents are a joy to work with and so laid back. Nothing makes a session easier! They even bought me Chik-fil-a for lunch during her newborn session….how cool is that! Totally unexpected and most appreciated
Miss M is one of the first 3 month old’s that I’ve photographed. While my primary focus is custom newborn photography, I hate that I may not see my beautiful client’s newborns until their first birthday. So I’m branching out into baby photography, capturing the milestones of baby’s first year. I am loving the fact that not only am I meeting wonderful clients with precious newborns, but I have been making friends as they book milestone sessions with me and we spend more time together at each session! A definate benefit of watching my amazing newborns grow over the course of their first year.
Without further delay….here’s her session sneak peeks:

Brunswick Georgia Field Maternity Session | Beautiful Kelsey
I was contacted by this beautiful mother-to-be (and her mother) to book both a maternity session and a newborn session. She had already had a beach maternity session, and was interested in having a maternity session in a field – which of course is my favorite location to shoot in Glynn County (in Brunswick)! Kelsey was up for anything and I had a blast doing her session. She’s so beautiful and photogenic, I don’t think she could take a bad picture if she tried. The grandmother-to-be also came along for the session and was a wonderful helper. Both of them have seen several of these images already, on the back of my camera. I can’t help it! I get so excited at the session, I end up showing my clients some of their images right away on the LCD screen of my camera. I love seeing them get excited as well. Without further delay, here are their sneak peeks. Kelsey and Angela, I so enjoyed working with you and cannot wait to photograph your newborn baby boy!
This bubblegum shot was super fun to do! It seemed to totally suit her as well.
I am very drawn to images where the model is not always looking right at the camera. Images like the one below tend to pull me in and make me think. I love how her outfit totally complements the field setting.
These were all shot with my new 70-200L lens! I can say for sure that this lens will be my new workhorse. Look at that amazing bokeh! It just obliterates the background and brings all the focus on the beautiful new mama-to-be.
Just look at those eyes, would you! Amazing brown eyes with so much dimension. Kelsey you are one gorgeous mama!
