Newborn sessions have my heart! I have experience with over 600 newborns and offer a professional, safe, and comfortable environment.
Without a doubt newborn sessions are my favorite type of session to do. I have taken multiple workshops on newborn posing and newborn safety. I also worked as an RN in the local maternity center for several years and I am very familiar and comfortable around newborn babies. I am CPR certified as well as up to date on all vaccinations including TDAP. The studio is sanitized with a commercial level disinfectant between each session and all surfaces are wiped down thoroughly. Keeping your baby safe and comfortable during your session is my utmost concern.
Studio newborn sessions are generally done before baby 10-18 days old and last approximately 2-3 hours. Your new baby is squishy, sleepy and curls up easily. I love being able to capture all the little details that fade so quickly - milk bumps on their little noses, peeling skin around their fingers and toes, their little lips - before you know it, they are gone!
At home newborn sessions can be done when your baby is up to several weeks old. These are more lifestyle in approach: I am capturing them (and you!) in your most comfortable environment - your home. I recommend commissioning your newborn session while you are in your second trimester to ensure availability as I only accept a few newborns per month at this time due to time involved.
