Without a doubt newborn sessions are my favorite type of session to do. I have taken multiple workshops on newborn posing and newborn safety. I also work as an RN in the local maternity center so I am very familiar and comfortable around newborn babies. I am CPR certified as well as up to date on all vaccinations including whooping cough. Keeping your baby safe and comfortable during your session is my utmost concern.
Studio newborn sessions are generally done before baby is two weeks old and last approximately 2-3 hours. Your new baby is squishy, sleepy and curls up easily. I love being able to capture all the little details that fade so quickly - milk bumps on their little noses, peeling skin around their fingers and toes, their little lips - before you know it, they are gone!
At home newborn sessions can be done when your baby is up to several weeks old. These are more lifestyle in approach: I am capturing them (and you!) in your most comfortable environment - your home. These types of sessions are shorter than the more formal studio sessions - generally around 1-2 hours. These types of sessions are quickly growing in popularity!

I currently offer in-studio and on location maternity session here in the St. Simon's Island/Brunswick area. Maternity sessions are best done when you are approximately 32-34 weeks pregnant. I have an ever-expanding carefully curated maternity wardrobe of high end labels that my clients have access to for their sessions. Maternity sessions can also be done on location within the Glynn County area. They can be done in your home, at the beach, in a field, pretty much anywhere. I’m always up for new ideas for locations, so feel free to suggest somewhere different! Maternity sessions primarily focus on the expectant mother, but can also include dad and any siblings. I also have a hair stylist and MUA available and strongly recommend that extra little bit of pampering to go along with your session to help you look your absolute best!
Once you book your maternity session, we will set up a time to chat for your pre-session consultation. Here, we will decide which location to use for your session. Milestone sessions are generally done at 6, 12 and 18 months; although some parents opt for 4, 8 and 12 months. These sessions are designed to showcase babies milestone developments at each age….sitting, crawling and standing/walking. They are one hour sessions and include baby only. I also offer a Watch Me Grow baby plan that includes parents/siblings for no extra charge at each session as desired. My Watch Me Grow baby plan is also a great way to documents your baby’s first two years while getting a discount for booking multiple sessions. It also entitles you to special perks such as first availability for special limited edition sessions throughout the year as well as scheduling priority.
Baby sessions can be done in studio, on location or even at your home. You even receive access to my carefully curated studio wardrobe for babies that is always growing and changing. Family sessions are something I previously only did for my Watch Me Grow clients. I just never loved them as much as my newborn, maternity and baby sessions. However, all of that changed when I did a family workshop earlier this year. Through the workshop, I realized that what I loved most (and wasn't doing!) was documenting the emotions and the interactions of family members during the session. My approach to family sessions can most closely be described as lifestyle. While I do get a few portraits of everyone looking at the camera and smiling, I much prefer and spend most of my time documenting you being you. With gentle guidance and suggestions, I work to bring out the best in your family and to capture memories that you will look back on many years from now and be instantly back in the moment we preserved.
Selecting coordinating outfits for an entire family can be a daunting task. When you book a session with CHP, I make choosing your wardrobe super simple. My style is beautifully simple. I offer an ever-expanding wardrobe for Mamas, babies children that is carefully curated and has beautiful options from places such as Free People, Anthropologie and Rachel Pally, to name a few. Clothing comes in beautiful neutral and pastel tones as well as rich textures and fabrics. Each session comes with a complimentary wardrobe consultation where I spend the time to go over it with you to find the right looks for your session. For Dads, I am available to shop for you or to make clothing suggestions from what Dad already has in his closet.

If I asked you today to send me a photo of you and your kids, what would it look like? I'm guessing it would be a selfie, am I right? Its probably not of you being in the moment and loving on your children but one hand out “cheesing it” for our iPhone camera. Dont you deserve to be the one NOT taking the photo? Do you ever say, here take one of me so that the kids will remember I was even here! More times than not, we as mothers are not in these photos but taking them. It’s your turn to be IN them.
Whether you are a first time mom or have more than one child, YOU deserve to be in those portraits. Just like in those albums of yourself as a child that you love to go through, your kids will want the same thing. Your kids deserve to see YOU in their own baby books.
